I am a political science graduate student and George L. Hinman doctoral fellow at Binghamton University. I am also senior research associate for the CIRI Human Rights Data Project, which I have worked on since 2006.  I expect to receive my Ph.D. in 2012.  My areas of specialization include international relations, comparative politics, and methodology.  My research focuses on the impact of international factors on human rights practices, political violence, and economic development.  In particular, I have a strong research interest in the spatial diffusion of these political outcomes, as well as the institutions, organizations, and processes that generate such diffusion.

More information on my interests and work can be found at the various links above. I try to update regularly, so feel free to visit often!
